Since joining the NASA Astronaut Office in 2015 as an International Travel Logistics Specialist, Kate has played a crucial role in ensuring seamless international travel for astronauts from NASA, JAXA, and CSA, handling complex passport and visa logistics with unmatched precision. Delays in training can disrupt entire mission timelines, but Kate’s ability to anticipate challenges and proactively strategize solutions has been instrumental in keeping schedules intact.
Beyond logistics, Kate has recently expanded her support to the Commercial Crew Program as part of the Guest Operations Team, assisting cosmonauts and their families as they prepare for launch. Her ability to communicate with guests in their native language and manage shifting schedules with grace provides astronauts with peace of mind, knowing their loved ones are in excellent hands.
